Pei’s Shengxue Granules (composed of Shengdi, Shanyao, Danpi, Taizishen, Beishashen, Dangshen, Guizhi, Dazao, Wumeizi, Zhigancao, Baishao, etc.), each packet contains 36.25 g of crude herbs, manufactured by the Gansu Provincial Academy of Medical Sciences as granular powder, batch number: 080310.
Injectable 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu), 250 mg per vial, Shanghai Xudong Haipu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., batch number: 080105.
1.2 Experimental Animals and Tumor Strains
Seventy-two healthy Kunming mice, half male and half female, weighing 20 ± 2 g, aged 5–6 weeks, provided by the Experimental Animal Center of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, animal qualification certificate number: Yi Dong Zi (06) No. 004. H22 (hepatocellular carcinoma) tumor strain, imported from the Beijing Institute of Pharmacology of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and propagated and preserved by the Pharmacological Laboratory of the Gansu Provincial Academy of Medical Sciences.

Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS): 8.00 g NaCl, 3.48 g Na₂HPO₄·12H₂O, 0.20 g KCl, 0.20 g KH₂PO₄, diluted with triple-distilled water to 1000 ml, adjusted to pH 7.4, sterilized at 120°C for 20 minutes, stored at 4°C for later use.
