2.1.2 General Information

This study observed 30 confirmed cases of chronic myeloid leukemia treated between December 2010 and March 2012 at Professor Pei Zhengxue's specialist outpatient clinic (including the Huicui Hall Specialist Clinic, Gansu Provincial Cancer Hospital, Gansu Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital), the First Hospital of Lanzhou University's hematology outpatient clinic, and inpatient treatment. The group receiving only Western medicine served as the control group (15 cases), while the group receiving Pei's "Lanzhou Formula" combined with Western medicine served as the treatment group (15 cases). The observation period for both groups was 3 months.

The distribution of gender, age, and symptoms/signs in the treatment and control groups was analyzed using the χ² test, with results (p>0.05) showing no significant differences, indicating comparability.
