3. Phlegm-Dampness Obstruction
Symptoms include headache and dizziness, heaviness in the head when moving, relief upon closing the eyes, nausea, chest and epigastric discomfort, a plump tongue with thick coating, and a slippery pulse. This syndrome is commonly seen in Meniere’s disease. Treatment focuses on warming the middle burner and transforming phlegm, with the prescription being Wu Zhu Yu Tang with added ze xie 30g as the main ingredient; for those with severe nausea, combine it with Xuanfu Dai Zhe Tang; for those with insomnia and vivid dreams, add wuweizi, shanyao, fried zaoren, danggui, and yuanrou to the formula; for those with headache and dizziness accompanied by high blood pressure, add banxia and gou
